They will also be expected to prepare quotes as well implement and manage both health and safety, and quality procedures.

The garden is approximately 10 acres and include extensive lawns, beds and borders, hedges, topiary, Japanese garden, woodland garden and a small kitchen garden. Together, these elements create a dynamic and immersive garden that requires year-round management and attention to detail.

The role will be working closely with the estate manager four days per week which will entail all rounded gardening and grounds management including lawncare, hedge cutting, managing composting sites, using a telehandler, weeding, strimming, using and maintaining garden machinery, as well as maintaining the swimming pool, terraces and patios. Practical training will be provided on the job and horticultural tickets such as chainsaw and spray certificates will be supported by the employer. The fifth day will be spent with a part-time horticulturalist focusing on pruning and managing the bed and borders.
