🌿 Head Gardener Opportunity

📍 Surrey
💷 Salary up to £50,000 DOE
⏰ Full-time preferred
📅 Part-time considered (minimum 3 days per week on a self-employed basis)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Gardener to oversee the care and development of a stunning recently planted garden surrounding a magnificent Lutyens/Jekyll-designed house on a private Surrey estate. Working closely with the garden designer, you will lead the maintenance of an exceptional landscape that includes:

🌸 Herbaceous and shrub borders
🌿 Established climbers
🌳 Ornamental trees and woodlands
🌾 Native heathland, wildflower meadows and hedgerows
🥕 A productive kitchen garden supplying vegetables and cut flowers for the house

The successful candidate will have excellent horticultural knowledge, experience managing maintenance programmes, and the ability to supervise staff and contractors while preserving the estate’s historic character and design integrity.

RHS Level 3 or equivalent is desirable, although proven experience caring for historic landscapes will also be considered.
