🌺The gardens surrounding the main house extend to approximately 14 acres comprising extensive lawns, pleasure grounds with mature treescape and bulb & wildflower underplanting, kitchen/cut flower gardens and herbaceous borders. 🪻🌿

There is also a Walled Garden with a variety of fruit trees, which alongside the Kitchen Garden and a livestock enterprise, supplies a range of seasonal produce for the house and for events. 🍎🐃

What you`ll do:
Assisting the #HeadGardener and #GardensTeam in the maintenance of the gardens & grounds to include:
o Lawn mowing & hedge cutting 🌿
o Rough cutting & strimming
o Irrigation 🚿
o Herbaceous border and cut flower care🌻🌷
o Kitchen and Walled Garden maintenance and harvesting🥬

You will need a valid Driver`s Licence for this role 🚗

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Assistant Gardener to help with the ongoing development and maintenance of the grounds of this small privately owned 5 acre garden consisting of herbaceous borders, main lawns, kitchen garden and a small orchard.

As an Assistant Gardener you will be a key member of the team work. You will work closely with the Head Gardener on the development and maintenance of the garden and accompanying grounds and you must be able to work both unsupervised and with the Head Gardener. The successful candidate will possess some horticultural knowledge and have experience from previous gardens. The owners are experienced employers who are keen to promote ongoing professional development.

Duties to include:
Maintenance and development of borders and beds; planting of perennials, bulbs, trees and shrubs.🌷
🪴Weeding, mulching, composting and digging of all borders. Looking after flower pots around the main house.
Propagation of all plants and vegetables in greenhouses; irrigation and watering by hand; pruning and hedge cutting of plants, shrubs and hedges.🌿
🫛🥬Kitchen garden planning and maintenance of fruit and vegetables.
Leaf blowing and maintenance of paths and patios.🍃
🌱Maintenance and cutting of lawns and meadow areas.
