Gardener
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our expanding team of gardeners at our 10acre private estate on the outskirts of Warminster in Wiltshire.
The stunning Georgian style property includes gardens comprising expansive lawns, yew and beech hedging, topiary, a French style parterre, a semi-circular walled garden, a white garden, mixed and herbaceous borders, woodland, bulb meadows and water features. We have a number of projects likely in future years.
The ideal applicant will be happy working both on an individual basis and as part of the small team. We are looking for a friendly, flexible, positive and enthusiastic individual to become part of the team on a long-term basis.
The role will involve general garden maintenance including;
hedge cutting; mowing; mixed and herbaceous border work; pruning and training of plants; rose pruning and training and maintenance of water features; amongst others. Experience in organic gardening would be a bonus, but not necessary, as the estate is run as organically as is practical.
Candidates must have a good level of experience in general garden maintenance and be willing to improve their skills and horticultural knowledge where necessary. They will be helpful, hard-working, well-motivated individuals with a keen eye for detail and a desire to achieve high standards at all times. They will be discrete and maintain the privacy of the estate.
Relevant recognised horticultural qualifications will be required and evidence of these will need to be produced if invited for an interview.
Hours – 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
Annual Leave – 28 days including statutory holidays
Probationary Period – 3 months

Salary based on the PGG salary guide – range is; £19,000 – £23,000 dependent on relevant skills and experience.
