  • Part Time
  • London
  • Salary: £30,000 pro rata

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Part-Time Groundskeeper to join a beautiful private estate in North London, working alongside and supporting an experienced full-time Groundskeeper. This role offers the chance to work within a well-maintained and diverse private setting, contributing to the ongoing care and development of the estate’s gardens and grounds.

Set within approximately 7 acres, the estate features a mix of formal gardens, relaxed planting areas, open fields, and equestrian facilities including stables and a jumping arena. While horses are not currently kept on site, the environment provides a varied and interesting landscape, and any prior experience with horses would be considered advantageous, although not essential.

This position would suit a practical and reliable individual with experience working in large gardens or estates, and a good working knowledge of planting, pruning, and general grounds maintenance. The successful candidate will be hands-on, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards across the property.

The role will involve a wide range of responsibilities, including general grounds maintenance, planting and pruning, lawn and field care, tree trimming, and pond maintenance. Additional duties will include general property cleaning, equipment maintenance and upkeep, monitoring and controlling plant health, and carrying out general maintenance tasks such as fence repairs and the upkeep of outbuildings.

Working closely with a full time Groundskeeper, the successful candidate will need to be organised, self-motivated, and able to take direction while also working independently when required. A positive attitude and willingness to assist across different areas of the estate are essential.

This is a part-time position 3 days per week offering an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work within a private estate environment and further develop their practical skills within a supportive setting.

HOURLY RATE:       £30,000 pro rata to 3 days per week
