Experienced Gardener – RHS
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a skilled RHS-qualified Experienced Gardener to join a dedicated and motivated team responsible for maintaining the stunning formal gardens of a growing, prestigious family-owned estate. This is a hands-on diverse role that will involve operating and maintaining specialist machinery, including ride-on mowers, strimmer’s, blowers, and hedge cutters, while ensuring all tools remain in excellent condition. Managing and maintaining the estate’s irrigation systems will be essential in supporting the health and vitality of its stunning plant collections and immaculate lawns.
Candidates ideally will have a RHS qualification or worked in a similar environment, with a strong background in formal settings. PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates are essential, along with hands-on experience in managing irrigation systems to support the estate’s diverse plant collections.
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with a proactive and positive approach, bringing an organised and methodical mindset to their work. The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team is key, as is a keen eye for detail and a dedication to maintaining exceptional horticultural standards.
Experience in shaping and nurturing newly developed landscapes would be highly beneficial, and a full UK driving licence is required.
This is a full-time position, with working hours from 08:00 to 16:00. The role involves a five-day working week, which may include weekends as part of a rota. The salary offered is up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, with a discretionary annual bonus following a successful probationary period.
An enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by the employer, and the signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement are required as part of the employment terms.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work within a growing prestigious estate, contributing to its ongoing development, refinement, and beauty.
