A unique opportunity is available for a talented Head Gardener at a private estate in Northallerton, offered on a full-time permanent basis. This historical 3000-acre estates’ garden spans 14 acres and is surrounded by mature trees and stunning countryside views as well as being hidden by the wooded hillside.

This position will suit an experienced and knowledgeable gardener with a desire to take on the maintenance and future development of a horticulturally diverse, English Country style garden in order to utilise their full horticultural skill set.

The estate features formal gardens, including terraced areas, vibrant flower and herbaceous borders, and a tranquil lake, all set within expansive parkland. The gardens, developed by the owner, also boast an array of elegant plantings and a range of spring-blooming shrubs that blend with the natural surroundings. As Head Gardener, you will lead a team of three gardeners, ensuring high standards of garden care.
