Handyperson – Private Estate, North Finchley
A rare and excellent opportunity has become available for a Handyperson to join a beautiful private residence in North London, near North Finchley. Set within approximately 7 acres, the estate offers a diverse and attractive environment, comprising formal gardens surrounding the main house, water features, a tennis court, paddocks, and stables. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-maintained and high-quality private setting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day upkeep and smooth running of the property, working closely with and supporting the Property Manager. This is a hands-on and varied position that would suit a proactive, well-presented individual with a strong maintenance background, good initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
Flexibility and a positive attitude are essential, as the role will involve a broad mix of responsibilities, combining practical maintenance duties with occasional client-facing tasks. These will include driving, running errands, and providing general support to ensure the property always operates efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities will include driving duties, vehicle maintenance and cleaning, and general property maintenance, covering outdoor furniture, equipment, and minor repairs. The role will also involve general property cleaning, Jet washing patios, shopping, errands, handling post and deliveries, and coordinating basic logistics. Additional duties include dog walking and arranging vet or grooming visits, maintaining equipment such as bikes, a golf cart, and sports equipment, and assisting the grounds team as required.
The Handyperson will also support with the daily setup and presentation of outdoor areas, including furniture and sports equipment, as well as assisting with event preparation and general household support when needed. A flexible, “can-do” approach is essential, along with a willingness to adapt and assist wherever required.
Working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, with an entitlement of 20 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.

HOURLY RATE: £35,000 Circa
