An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Skilled Gardener to join a team of experienced horticulturalists to work within a portfolio of stunning gardens ranging in size and style.

The client is a Surrey-based garden design and construction company designing, creating and planting beautiful gardens in Surrey, Sussex and the Home Counties. Curiosity, enthusiasm, along with a childhood plant obsession, that led the client to establish over 20 years ago which now holds an enviable reputation for creating timeless, beautiful, plant-focused gardens. Meticulous design, attention to detail and a passion for plants, the client builds beautiful gardens for those looking to create a perfect outdoor oasis. The director of the business is a multi-award-winning garden designer who was recently named Garden Designer of the year by the Association of Professional Landscapers and has also appeared on BBC Gardeners World.

The successful candidate will work within some truly spectacular gardens containing a wealth of horticultural diversity. From contemporary, English Country Garden to original Gurtrude Jekyll sites; the Skilled Gardener will be from installing new designs within the gardens as well as assisting in the aftercare once complete. Duties will include but are not limited to plant and border maintenance, planting pruning weeding and mulching. This position is a fantastic opportunity for candidates to further their technical skills and establish a good working knowledge of plants and garden machinery.

SALARY:        Up to £28,000 DOE
