The Company:
Our client is a highly experienced, award winning landscape design and maintenance company based in West London, which focuses on high-end landscape design and build along with a garden Maintenance Division. The Construction Division has experience in constructing landscapes from the smallest of roof terraces to the most expensive and luxurious of properties. They specialise, in particular, in the implementation of high-quality, bespoke landscape schemes, including bespoke water features, sculptures and intricate stonework. As the demand for their maintenance services have increased they now seek a Garden Team Leader to join their team, and to assist in the expansion of this department. Our client has a team of keen horticulturalists and designers and they love what they do.

The right candidate will have the same tenacious motivation to get stuck into their role, getting involved in exciting projects, creating and caring for inspiring and magical gardens
The successful candidate will be passionate, personable and knowledgeable Gardener willing to join a team in West London. The role will require a real drive and desire to deliver quality garden services to high-end residential houses. A hands on and joyful attitude is required to fit into the company culture and a thirst for knowledge to continue progressing within the role. The position is full time with a competitive salary and prospects of bonuses.
The Role
The role will require the successful candidate to have the ability to prioritise plant health and be able to follow cross contamination measures. Be confident with all areas of shaping and pruning as well as understand common pests and diseases with preventative and treatment methods being ecofriendly, our client is environmentally conscious in everything they do, this is at the core of their ethos. A good knowledge of tools and how to use them effectively is essential as well as being able to have the knowledge of or the desire to learn more about permaculture and organic gardening together with an appreciation of and understanding of garden design. Duties will include:
- Garden maintenance
- Lawn Mowing
- Striming
- Hedge cutting
- Pruning
- Garden landscaping
- Planting
- Clearing
- Turfing
- Minor construction, such steel edge installation / sleeper pathways etc.
- Monitoring of irrigation systems & water features
The successful applicant
Will be a people person, well-mannered and presentable, a full and clean UK driving license with a strong horticultural knowledge and plant base, horticultural qualification(s) would be an advantage but not essential. Must have the ability to work on their own initiative both in a team and alone with good time management skills.
SALARY: £30,000 depending on experience
