Estate Worker
A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Estate Worker to join an historic estate on a full-time permanent basis. This position would suit applicants from a agricultural/estate maintenance and/or handyman background with a general understanding of the outdoors aspect of private estates and associated duties.
Comprising 5,000 acres of rural North Buckinghamshire countryside, this historic family-run private estate provides a wide range of service offerings to the public and businesses. This new vacancy involves general landscape maintenance. A basic understanding of, general estate work, fencing and a good practical understanding of property upkeep is required. To have the ability to drive a tractor, along with PA1 & PA6 certificates would be an advantage. To assist with lawn care, strimming, hedge cutting and general gardening duties. Some horticultural experience would be an advantage but not essential as would the ability to use a chainsaw. Lastly there will be some weekend work during busy times.
The estate is a diverse operation where maintenance of the grounds and landscape is linked with the farming, let property, visitor attraction and events enterprises on the estate and as such, the successful applicant’s work will in part support the success of these departments as well as keeping the appearance of the estate to an acceptable standard.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person who enjoys working in a diverse range of disciplines and will enjoy the challenges that an estate like this has.
It is a Full-time, permanent position offered after an initial 3-month trial period.
SALARY: Circa £25,000 (Live out) DOE
