Estate Maintenance Worker
An excellent full time and permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estate / Maintenance Worker with a passion for Estate Maintenance to work within a beautiful private estate in North Surrey maintaining the highly aesthetic property.
The private estate encompasses 13 acres of land, which includes a 9-acre modern garden designed by a renowned contemporary landscape and garden designer. The estate contains formal lawns with wild meadow grass sections and grass herbaceous borders. Set out geometrically, the garden also consists of extensive hedging made up of Yew, Beech and Box, with a stream to one side of the garden and woodland / parkland on the other.
The property boasts luxury exteriors requiring high standards of maintenance for its outside spaces, in-keeping with the wishes of the homeowner. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager the successful candidate will be required to maintain the hard exterior surfaces, including lighting, artwork, stonework, sculpture, paintwork and furniture. Other responsibilities consist of the cleaning of cars and windows, the maintenance of irrigation and cleaning of equipment and following the general maintenance schedule. A driver’s licence will be required as this role may also necessitate occasional driving duties.
The successful candidate would be able to work individually and as part of a wider team when necessary, alongside three Gardeners and fellow Maintenance staff.
The ideal candidate would be fluent in English and a non-smoker, with a keen attention to detail, meticulous in maintaining the high standards required and take pride in their work, underpinned by reliability, trustworthiness, and the utmost discretion.
SALARY: Up to £35k DOE
