We are looking for an experienced full time (live in) gardener for our prestigious 22 acre estate in Kingswood Surrey. The individual needs to be self motivated with good horticultural knowledge who would work alongside one other full time gardener and be comfortable interacting with the property owners and contractors. The estate consists of formal and informal gardens, with extensive lawns, rose garden, shrub borders, paddock and a copse area.

Applicants will need experience of day to day maintenance of large gardens, good plant knowledge and experience with tractors and general garden machinery.

The applicant will need to have a full driving licence, good communication skills and be willing to respond to very occasional emergency call outs, which explains the reason we provide a one bedroom flat rent free (utility costs negotiable).

Potential for additional employment for partner.

Duties will include:

• Lawn Maintenance
• Knowledge of sound horticultural practices eg maintaining herbaceous borders, shrub pruning, hedge cutting, pest control and lawn care.
• Weeding and chemical spraying.
• Hedge trimming
• Garden and grounds maintenance
• Tractor driving with attachments

Working week: Monday to Friday 8-6 adjusted seasonally (plus very occasional call out for emergencies). DBS check will be required.

Salary : £30,000, plus pension and use of recently refurbished one bedroom flat suitable for a couple
