A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a gardener to join a garden design, build and maintenance company in West London.
Our client is a highly experienced, award winning landscape gardening company based in West London. They pride themselves on delivering a high-quality customer service during creation of gardens. Having an eye for detail they build gardens to the highest standards and maintain a quality customer care after gardens are completed. They also run a garden maintenance service to provide clients with a year-round service to keep their gardens in top condition. The majority of the business is private residential gardens. Clients include award winning Chelsea Flower show gardens, roof terraces, shop installations and garden event installations.
The successful candidate will liaise with customers and take responsibility for the general maintenance of the gardens to the highest standard of horticultural practice, i.e. pruning, shaping plants, planting seasonal bedding, jet washing, leaf blowing, hedge cutting, weeding as well as pest identification and control, formal lawn care and plant and border maintenance.
The appointed person will have general plant knowledge, be a passionate gardener. You should have proven track record of quality workmanship, a good eye for detail, organised in your approach to work and have a ‘can do attitude’ to take on whatever challenges arise in a day. You will need excellent communication skills and have a flexible approach to duties as you may be required in the winter period to support in landscaping. A horticultural qualification would be an advantage but a can-do attitude and hands on experience are more important. A full driving licence is essential for the role.
This position would suit a presentable gardener with demonstrable experience of working on private gardens.
SALARY: £20,000 – £24,000 depending on experience
