🌿The garden includes formal areas, structured yews and box hedging, wild flower areas, seasonal pots, a cutting bed and a fruit cage. The garden flows naturally down to a beautiful river setting, with artificial ponds and waterways accompanying the main river. The river area is kept predominantly wild.🐝🌺

The gardener will be hands on and responsible for the day to day maintenance and care of all garden areas, which includes some herbaceous planting, maintaining lawns, hedges and wild flower areas. 🪴🌱

🍃You will work closely with the owners, who are enthusiastic gardeners, and appreciate their beautiful surroundings. You will help them to achieve their vision with continuous development of new planting plans and other ideas to enhance the whole setting. The ability to work independently, take ownership of the role and a desire to maintain high standards is essential.

🌿You will help to maintain and develop the gardens and grounds to the highest horticultural standards. You will be keen and enthusiastic with a proven track record in a similar role, with formal training and a wide practical knowledge of working horticulture.

What you need:
🌳Minimum of two years of horticultural experience in a private estate, historic or botanic garden setting.
🪴Broad horticultural expertise & plant knowledge with evidence of appropriate academic qualifications/experience.
🌱Ability to consistently deliver high-quality horticulture, finish and presentation.
⛲Minimum level 2 horticultural qualification (NVQ/RHS or equivalent).
🍂A well organised individual with attention to detail and a keenness to provide the highest standards of presentation.
🏡A practical, hands-on, hard-working gardener with excellent team working and communication skills.
📌Capable to take responsibility and work on own initiative, alone or with small teams.
🚜Experience of driving compact tractors, attachments & a wide range of tools & equipment; basic machinery maintenance.
🌹Ideally PA1 and PA6 Pesticides Application qualifications.
🐝Knowledge and experience of beekeeping desirable.
🚗 Full and clean UK driving licence.
