Skilled Gardener required to assist the Head Gardener for a large country house in North Oxfordshire.

The gardens are an excellent example of a traditional country estate garden and comprises of formal and informal lawns, shrub and herbaceous borders, hedges, a large walled garden used to produce fruit, vegetables, and cut flowers.  There is a large lake, smaller pond, two heated greenhouses to produce plants for the use throughout the year in the main house as well as for extensive propagation of plants used in the gardens and NGS open day.

The successful applicant will assist the Head gardener in all aspects of the garden.

The applicant must be a hands-on team player who is willing to help in all matters within the garden and help develop junior members of the gardening team.

The applicant will need at least 3 years relevant experience with a comprehensive plant knowledge and ideally has a RHS qualification or the equivalent NVQ, HND, OND City & Guilds.

Competitive salary based on 40 hours per week.
