Senior Gardener
Experienced Senior Gardener required for private gardens of a large country house in north Wiltshire
We require an experienced senior gardener to work under the current head gardener and join a team of team of three to maintain and enhance this garden which has been developed over the last 10 years and covers 25 acres. It includes lawns, a lake, herbaceous borders, a walled vegetable garden, recently planted orchard, heated glass houses, swimming pool garden, parkland and woodland.
Applicants should be experienced, self-motivated, enthusiastic and hands on. A driving licence is essential, as is a good working knowledge of garden machinery. The principal duties of the Senior Gardener will be to carry out hands-on, year-round maintenance of the garden, landscaped grounds and planted areas of the Estate. You will expected to be part of the Estate ‘Team’ , liaise with colleagues, contractors and any other part time workers involved in ongoing garden activities to ensure a high standard of presentation.
This is a live-in position and a good quality, 3-bedroom Estate cottage is available with immediate effect.
Previous experience in privately owned gardens is a requirement.
£30,000 + accommodation + pension + heating paid for.
