A new vacancy has become available for a Gardener to join an established family estate based in North Nottinghamshire. The owners are seeking a dedicated Gardener to help aid the maintenance of this beautiful estate on a full-time basis. This is a live in position, with a 3-bedroom property available for the successful candidate.
The estate has been within the inhabiting family for over 250 years, is located as such to have good transport links and be within the catchment area for good local schools. The main responsibility is for the family garden, redesigned in 2014, featuring perennials, shrubs, grasses, and ferns. It includes a kitchen garden, an orchard, a swimming pool, and a tennis court. The garden opens regularly for the National Garden Scheme and for local village events.
Applicants for this position will need to have a rounded skillset, in order to maintain the gardens to a very good horticultural standard. Tasks will include lawn maintenance, pruning, hedge cutting, weeding, mulching and experience in the use of a range of associated garden machinery. Additionally, a personable approach, while having a can-do attitude and being physically fit and active is essential for this position. The owners are closely involved in the development of the garden.
The owners are looking for a committed gardener to join them on a long-term basis, and are happy to accommodate partners, families, and pets where necessary within the offered accommodation.
SALARY: £25,000
