Deputy Head Gardener
Deputy Head Gardener OR Skilled Gardener required for private
13 acre country house is seeking a full time Deputy Head Gardener or Skilled Gardener. Located in the beautiful village of Letchmore Heath , WD25.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Strong horticultural knowledge is a must, and we will be looking for candidates with practical experience in a similar role, as well as a horticultural background and qualifications to match. Comprehensive plant knowledge, a keen interest in gardens and landscapes, familiarity with most gardening practices together with the use and maintenance of machinery eg. mowers and strimmers.
Willingness to work alongside and to support other staff and on occasions work alone.
Well motivated with an eye for detail and a desire to achieve a high standards, ability to work on own initiative.
Good written and verbal communication skills, good organizational skills.
Gardening experience with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, be energetic and willing to learn and develop their horticulture in a stunning and varied garden with a supportive team.
Opportunities to develop skills through training and in the gardens themselves.
Cut meadow, formal lawns, herbaceous borders, woodland, walled garden, kitchen garden and themed pond. This property offers a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate.
Valid driving license required
Working hrs: Monday 7:30am-Friday 4:30pm (Flexible working hrs can be discussed)
Expected salary: £30-35K (Based on experience)
