Head Gardener
EXPERIENCED HEAD GARDENER/ TEAM LEADER
An opportunity has arisen to take this established 11acre formal garden through its next stage of maintenance and development.
You will be working closely with the Owners/Estate Manager, maintaining and developing the extensive gardens, based around a 17th century Hall in the heart of the Cotswolds.
We are looking for a self motivated, skilled and enthusiastic gardener who has several years experience of being a Head Gardener covering all aspects of gardening.
You will have total responsible for the leading of the gardening team. Therefore you need to have experience of managing staff, demonstrating a balance of delegation, instruction, organisation, decision making and encouragement. You will be taking total responsibility for the gardens along with drawing up budgets and arranging requisite purchases. You will have to liaise with the Owners to ensure the garden meets their expectations at all times.
The position is full time with a competitive remuneration package based on experience and qualifications. A cottage is available with the position on the edge of the village if required.
