Estate Groundsman required

A competent enthusiastic groundsman capable of working on their own, and as part of a team, is required for a private Borders Estate. Duties to involve general gardening and grounds maintenance including grass and hedge cutting, planting, weeding, watering, tree planting, fencing, light forestry work and general maintenance work in the garden of the principal house, parkland and the wider estate.

A good working knowledge of machinery (mowers, tractors, chainsaws and garden equipment) is essential. Certificates for chainsaw operation and spraying (PA1 & PA6) would be desirable, but training can be provided.

Hours of work are 40-hours per week, based on 5 days, but occasional weekend work may be required.  A good financial package is offered and a house can be provided.
