Full-Time Gardener

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Full-Time Gardeners position to work alongside a small, experienced team developing the gardens and maintaining the house on a large country manor estate in the village of Stanton, Gloucestershire.
The property sits on 8 acres where there are outstanding gardens, including a formal garden, gated gravel driveways, Ponds, Greenhouse, Vegetable Garden, Rose Garden and further grassland. There is also poultry to assist with.
He / She must have horticultural knowledge. Experience in growing vegetables and fruit is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and have the confidence to manage their own various daily gardening responsibilities.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Hands on maintenance and development of the formal garden.
Care of extensive rose beds including spraying and pruning.
Undertaking regular gardening tasks such as weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, deadheading, fertilising, and watering.
Maintenance of seasonal pots.
Fruit tree and shrub pruning.
Lawn management.
Arranging yearly machine servicing and repairs.
Applicants must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative. Applicants should have a range of practical skills and have experience using and maintaining machinery. Applicants will need to have a positive attitude, good communication skills and be happy to work in all weathers. Full driving licence is essential.
The position is a full-time and permanent live-out role. A competitive Salary of up to £30,000.00 depending on experience is provided with the standard holidays.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday 8am -4.30pm.
