The Eaton Estate is the principal home of the Duke of Westminster, the Duchess of Westminster and the Grosvenor family. Located to the south of Chester and extending to in excess of 12,000 acres, the Estate encompasses a diverse portfolio of residential, agricultural, commercial and mineral interests centered round Eaton Hall and includes a significant property holding within Chester as well as North Wales.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Estate as a Horticulturalist Gardener in our Borders team. The position requires a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to maintain, upkeep and contribute towards the development of the Gardens to the highest possible standards. You will have responsibilities to carry out an agreed annual programme of work in order to maintain the borders whilst carrying out tasks such as pruning, staking, feeding and spraying.

The successful candidate will join the Borders team, striving to continually improve on quality. Alongside colleagues, you will also work to implement plans of Lady Lennox-Boyd and undertake weekend watering duties when required.

With experience of a range of horticultural techniques, you will also possess a minimum qualification of RHS Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent, whilst being proficient in operating a wide range of garden machinery. Personal qualities include a willingness to learn and work alongside others in our Gardens team, a ‘can do attitude’ and the ability to work flexibly in line with the needs of the gardens and Grosvenor family.

Working hours are generally Monday to Friday working 40 hours per week from 8am to 4.30pm.

Competitive salary plus a non contributory pension scheme and monthly gym contribution
